Berlin-based community project for dykes* by dykes*
also continuing through summer <3
đ˛ 24/05 boardgames + friends making
đ 31/05 Salon LittĂŠraire
This project was born after a simple realisation: everyone's always super hyped about summer, and winter just falls off the grid. Especially the Berlin winter, which has its own bad reputation. We want to change that and give the cosy season some more attention, as it deserves. đŤ
Let's make this winter less dark and isolating and more about community and actually hanging out. Expect: cosy crafting, film screenings, sharing drinks and food with friends, lots of laughs and new people to meet!
âď¸Our values? Community based, no big egos, accessibility and inclusivity, respect others and their needs, fuck racism, fuck TERFs, fuck ableism and fatphobia, support each other & free Palestine!
âď¸How do we do it?
⢠we create wholesome events where our community can connect
⢠we support anyone who wants to organise an event with us
⢠we share with our community winter dyke* activities created by others
⢠we collaborate with established collectives and projects
âď¸Dyke* as in lesbian, bi+, or queer. The word âdykeâ was used as a slur against lesbians, but reclaimed by the queer community. It includes lesbians, bi+ and queer people of all genders, making it trans and intersex inclusive. For us, being dyke* is not only a sexual and/or gender orientation, but also a political identity. If you identify as a dyke*, then you are a dyke* and if you think you might be a dyke*, then you might be one.
âď¸DM us if you want to get involved ;)
Our first bar night will be at the end of October â more info soon!

Weâre finally back with a new surprise film screening! Are you tired of watching movies alone on your couch? Then come snuggle up with a bunch of dykes* with some warm drinks and popcorn đĽ°
Are you intrigued by which film weâre gonna be screening? đŹ Think about an 1990s dyke* film noir set in Chicago and directed by an iconic queer duo. This film is hot, spicy and the suspense is unbearable đ
This screening will be made possible with the help of the very sweet @pillow_talk_series đ
and @regenbogencafe_xberg <3
Arrive early as seats are limited! We might have to deny you access if it gets too full đĽ˛
Weâll communicate in our story if itâs full!
The place is unfortunately not wheelchair friendly.
đRegenbogencafĂŠ
â° May 4th, 7:30 pm
đ¸ entry is donation-based
đ the film will be in English with English subtitles
đ§ď¸ CHANGE OF LOCATION AND TIME đ§ď¸
because of the weather: We'll be meeting at Radikal Lecker *from 4 to 6*: Book club will start at 4 and the Salon at 4:30. A bit short for both parts but better than being soaked to the bone ...
Fellow booklovers đ
There are books that we read and then forget about it; there are books that we reread again and again and are never done with it; but have you ever read a book and wished you could forget all about it... to be able to read it again for the first time? â¨
Because for some reason, a rereading wouldn't taste the same as the first time? That's going to be the next theme of our Salon LittĂŠraire, which will be taking place this Sunday in Hasenheide (may the weather be with us).
We listened to your requests and are wanting to keep this format of "Book club then Salon"! Last time, we agreed to read "Orbital" from Samantha Harvey and will talk about it in the first part of the afternoon.
đŞ As always, we invite you to sign up in the form to give us an overview of how many people are joining.
đ 19.04 starting at 4 pm for the book club, then 4:30 - 6 pm for the Salon
đ Sign-up via link in story highlight or dm, or through this link: https://forms.gle/5kE4tqn95rgLYy6XA
