One of our favorite moments on a wedding day is slipping out for a quiet portrait during the reception. Couples are always so grateful for a chance to breathe, reconnect, and simply be with each other.⠀
This evening at @ashfordestate was perfection—the country vibes unusually still, the air just right, and Jessica (@jesstaratrout )and Mike (@miketrout ) falling naturally into each other’s arms with no direction needed.⠀

Felt like the final scene of a movie.
The waterfall roaring behind them, the sun dropping over the ridge like a spotlight, the veil catching just enough wind to feel unreal.
It only lasted a moment—but it felt like time stopped for it.

Sometimes you only get a few minutes of perfect light. This was one of those moments at @ohekacastle —just three minutes of soft, flattering light, and it was exactly what we needed. @nikkibattistecbs eye contact with the camera made the shot feel even more intimate. Oheka Castle is a popular spot for weddings, but I loved how we made this one feel fresh and different.
