Vitality Westminster Mile 2026 - Scouts Wave
Be a Scouting champion and complete a one mile loop in front of Buckingham Palace, crossing the world famous London Marathon finishing line!
The Lambeth Scouts Programme Team have been in discussion with the London Marathon Events Team and are excited to bring you, once again, the Vitality Westminster Mile - Scouts Wave 2026!
Held in the heart of London, the Vitality Westminster Mile takes place on a spectacular course that starts on The Mall and finishes in front of Buckingham Palace. The family-friendly accessible mile takes place on Saturday 26 September 2026 and is completely free for Scouting members and their families (using our link). Every participant receives a beautiful medal. You’ll also get free entry to the fantastic Vitality Wellness Festival in Green Park!
Q. Who is the event for?
A. Greater London Scouts - Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Network, Leadership Volunteers, and their families (of all ages and abilities).

A. Saturday 26th September 2026 12:55pm (you’ll need to be in place 45 minutes before).

Please be aware this event is organised and run by London Marathon Events, and is televised. Groups are individually responsible for ratio’s when booking together (see guidance in the booking form), and families are encouraged to book direct so we get even more people involved in the fun. Please be aware this is a public event and all young people should be appropriately supervised.
Finally - please ensure you wear a necker so that we can showcase our fantastic young people! ! !

A few months back some of our Programme Team attended the London Region Team day, meeting like minded active people who are at the forefront of delivering quality outdoor experiences for young people. The team were positive, engaging, and made talking about Adventure and how to safely deliver even more events, fun and entertaining. Great to see such energy in our leadership teams, and so much passion and drive to make so many fantastic things happen across the region. Whatever “Adventure” means to you, let’s champion our collective success’s enthusiastically, and ensure even more people of all ages get to join in the fun!
