Born into one of SA’s legendary shaping families, Dave literally grew up in a surfboard workshop, surrounded by blanks, resin, and the kind of knowledge you can’t learn anywhere except the bay.
His obsession with making boards work better led him to study engineering, blending craft and science to understand how every curve, foil and rocker affects speed and flow.
By 1997, he launched DVG Shapes @dvgshapes , and the rest is South African shaping history.
