INZOZI ZANJYE, “my dreams” in Kinyarwanda, is a multidisciplinary performance, situated between concert, dance and theater, unfolding as a journey through the landscapes of Dushime’s existence. As an artist of Rwandan descent living in Belgium, Dushime has moved between two worlds, never fully landing in either. The piece explores her personal journey of in-betweenness, displacement, and the search for belonging through a blend of music, dance, and theater. Set in a non-linear dreamscape, Dushime travels through her memories and emotions (longing, grief, and joy) to find connection and liberation.

it is a deeply personal story, and I have the honor of telling it with a group of incredible, generous,gifted and brilliant human beings.
i’m not going to give you all the tea yet, but this is my formal invitation to come and witness it. for us to be in the same room, fully present, letting this story unfold as it is meant to.
i won’t lie, this is one of the most vulnerable things I’ve made so far, and I’m learning to let go and trust

Terwijl de media hun pennen scherpen in aanloop naar de première, buigen John en Diane zich over POWER. Diane zegde toe voor het project omdat ze het belangrijk vindt om het over machtsverhoudingen binnen de podiumsector te hebben. Zij is jong, onstuimig en wil vooral ‘iets’ voelen, de vloer op, spelen! Tegenover haar branie hapert John: hij beredeneert, reflecteert, blokkeert… Ook acteurs Bruno Vanden Broecke en Andie Dushime brengen hun ervaring mee in dit onderzoek naar kracht, kwetsbaarheid en impact binnen het theater.
Alors que les médias affûtent leurs plumes à l’approche de la première, John et Diane se penchent sur POWER. Diane a rejoint le projet parce qu’elle juge essentiel de parler des rapports de pouvoir dans le secteur des arts de la scène. Jeune et fougueuse, elle veut surtout sentir, jouer, monter sur le plateau ! Face à son audace, John hésite : il raisonne, réfléchit, se bloque… Les acteurs Bruno Vanden Broecke et Andie Dushime apportent eux aussi leur expérience dans cette exploration du pouvoir, de la vulnérabilité et de l’impact au sein du théâtre.
As the premiere approaches and the media sharpen their pens, John and Diane delve into POWER. Diane joined the project because she finds it essential to address power dynamics within the performing arts sector. Young and fiery, she wants above all to feel something, get on stage, play! Opposite her boldness, John falters — he reasons, reflects, and gets stuck… Actors Bruno Vanden Broecke and Andie Dushime also bring their experience to this exploration of power, vulnerability and impact within the theatre world.
