Slavery (working title) at @judsonchurchnyc as part of Black Aesthetics curated by @ariaztro and @malcolmxbetts This show brought so many ideas together and we greatly appreciate Judson for allowing us to imagine a space of contemplation and catharsis. Cried at the end of the night and in seeing the documentation. This performance brought together so many practices we have been cultivating. Thank you sooooo much @isilberis and @platypusmarsh for acting as my sound engineers/band mates/ cookie attendants/ and pseudo therapists. Will post more documentation in coming year, but want to share that it happened and we plan on continuing to workshop this show. So many feelings. 🥰

A big thank you, shout out and appreciation to everyone that made Group Therapy Jam Band happen. Our OpenLab project that was part of @cprnyc 2025 AIR program. The experience was so generative. Ultimately , providing both visuals and sound for our Critical Club Therapy performance. Thank you to all the collaborators named and otherwise. These are screen shots from the amazing documentation of @charbelnyc who has been a pleasure to collaborate with and help imagine this and future projects through conversation. This session was accompanied by @isilberis but a special thanks to the other musicians that took part in the project @solcabrini and @platypusmarsh Y’all each brought a personality to the sessions that felt right each time. It always feels good when your collaborators are able to find their own voice in the process. Through Group Therapy Jam Band we finally got through , through 6 sessions and 12 hours of conversation all 175 questions of Critical Race Therapy. 😮‍💨and figured out how a group dynamic changes the process. Everyone’s so generous with their time and energy 🙏🏾 . Am crying looking back, finally having the time to reflect.

Documentation just in. Thank you @mosnave and @performanyc for having us. Was a joy printmaking in your process. Turning the performance space into printshop and the chaos that entails. 10/10 would do again. Hope everyone enjoys their prints, cause we enjoyed sharing space with you. Moriah Evans, Kyle b. co. Shout out to @anhqvo for having us in the closing performance of his show Punish, Perform,Possess at @asianartsphilly and the whole team out there that made the exhibition happen. Am trying to finish recapping everything that happened in 2025 with the documentation I have so believe me when I say we played a small part in the excellence of Anh’s final performance, but it was a reprise of our co-performing since 69 views from the bottom (IYKYK) and that makes it special. Was a joy to work on this exhibition. Shout out to @isilberis for the documentation he was able to get before he also started doing his part in the performance. And @bummerrrr for an amazing reading. And @galacticgarlic_ for making the exhibition part of school trip. It’s been a great year of making magic. Am looking forward to making more magic in the new year.

Critical Club Therapy is happening Thursday November 13 @6 :30PM at Center for Performance Research, 361 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn, NY Featuring the audio compositions and sounds from the Group Therapy Jam Band sessions (last preshow session this Sunday November 9) This audio is from the previous session with collaborator @solcabrini . The dance floor of Critical Club Therapy will be activated by the improvisational audio responses of @durationality , @isilberis and @solcabrini and the performative responses of @crackheadbarneyandfriends , @buffysierra and @katsoteloh and the visuals and visualizations of @charbelnyc Come join us for an evening that is sure to excite. All links in bio (@Durationality ) Video and editing by @charbelnyc It’s a dance party at CPR. It was once said “In da Clerb, We all fam.” We all exist under the same rhythm, the same beat. Are standing in the same line. There was also that one song “We Are the World” by the supergroup USA for Africa. That is the vibe here. The patterns of race made music as part of Critical Race Therapy are spread through machines and brought to life in some imaginative DJ sets. Critical Club Therapy uses the club as architecture for connecting one another’s experience. There will be a bar, there will be a dance floor. There will be a line to get in. Featuring: Buffy Sierra, Isaac Silber, Alex Capraro, Crackhead Barney, Sol Cabrini, and Kat Sotelo. #performanceart #performance #kylebco #dance

📝REGISTRATION IS OPEN!📝 Sign up for sessions of Group Therapy Jam Band with 2025 AiR Kyle b. co. on select Sundays in October and November. This fall, 2025 Artist-in-Residence Kyle b. co. is workshopping sessions of their Critical Race Therapy project, which thinks through how one might address race as an embodied sense or an anxiety disorder, outside of the 1-on-1 structure of Treatment 1 (CRT T1). Group Therapy Jam Band sessions will take place with a guest musician or sound maker and host 3-5 participants who will build a sample pack together. Sign up together or join up with a stranger.
