Dun Ringill is back!
Fueled by determination and a hunger for redemption, Dun Ringill once again takes to the airwaves with exciting news: a brand-new drummer and the long-awaited return of a familiar face.
When our drummer Neil Grant decided to step down for personal reasons, we faced the daunting task of finding someone who could live up to his legacy. The choice of who to ask, however, was crystal clear. Taking the drum throne behind a sparkling new Gretsch Sahara Sparkle kit, we proudly welcome none other than Peter Ottoson. Peter comes with an impressive background, having played in powerhouse bands such as Vokonis and Let Them Hang.
“It was an easy decision to say yes when I was asked to join Dun Ringill. We’ve known each other for years, and I see this as a thrilling challenge. While many label Dun Ringill as a doom band at heart, the music is far more complex than most realize. That complexity makes the drumming both demanding and exciting—and I can’t wait to dive in.” — Peter Ottoson
We are also thrilled to announce that guitarist Patric “Peppe” Grammann has officially rejoined the band after a year-long break (though he has already stepped in as a stand-in at several shows during that time).

Nice Review from Deaf Forever Magazine!
DUN RINGILL........8
150 - Where The Old Gods Play - Act II
The Sign Records
SZ: 38:32/Release: already released
Style: Heavy-Folk-Doom
Two years after the first act, the Swedish folk-doom band presents the second and final part of their concept album about a Scottish priest at the beginning of the 20th century. Musically, the six-member group, featuring three guitarists, seamlessly continues from part one. However, due to the album’s concept, this part includes a few more spoken-word segments. Expect harsh doom metal with strong folk influences - including Ian Anderson transverse flute and violins - and a mix of extremely rough and clear vocals. Tomas Eriksson, who is responsible for the rough parts, will once again divide opinions. He rushes through the songs like a wild boar and sometimes reminds one of an evil twin of Martin Walkyier. Best understood in the album highlight ’Dark Clouds Are Rising’, which actually sounds like early Skyclad.”
