the dreams i am told i must abandon were real.
i don’t sleep much anymore so when i do i tend to think on them some, first thing.
take it in, honour these losses and changing panes. celebrating this unwanted acceptance feels like a vanity in a vividly conflicted time;
this luxury of thinking and doing, this releasing as an evolving response to past and present paralysis.
it won’t be like this forever, this thin safety in repose.
