Check out @ptpakron tonight for a last chance to save a piece of Akron’s history. Before what I’m assuming it will be torn down to make room for probably yet another AI data center 😑
And we all know what bubble is forming with that industry.
If you have time between 6-8pm let’s show up before another piece of our story disappears.
Huge shout out to @naturaclaimed for stepping up, sharing their passion, and pulling so many of us into this advocacy. Their commitment to community is what sparked our interest.
It’s weird to find old photos and not finding them in loving homes or framed as cherished moments that once deserved a photograph.
And we know nothing lasts. It still kicks something up knowing these people were once the center of someone’s universe but now some jabroni from Akron finds a snapshot of a stranger ripping a mid-century heater in a trash bin and shares it to a dumpster account.
We like to highlight all trash from Akron even if it’s someone’s memories.
