These are our cows. Belted Galloways, beautiful oreo striped, furry, with their winter coats. Hailing from the upland pastures and windswept moorlands of Galloway, Scottland, our babies are made for the cold. And, this winter has been especially cold and snowy at our
@ffarm.ny in the Western Catskills, but they are happy prancing in the snow.
These are the lush verdant pastures they roam. Where they listen to birds, the running creek, deer in the distance; where they breath in fresh air and imbibe crystal clear waters; where they lean and loaf at ease observing endless summer grass. They live a happy life. We hand feed them snacks, crisp apple, crunchy carrots. And it is with both quiet sadness and pride that we bring to you our first slaughter.
