Wat is echt en wat is nep in de wereld van Instagram? #Followme is de eerste documentaire óver Instagram die te zien is óp Instagram.

Researcher @diewiesje dook samen met programmamaker @nicolaas_veul in de financiële wereld achter Instagram. Op dit sociale platform is een compleet nieuw verdienmodel ontstaan: likes en followers zijn keiharde valuta geworden. Maar welke schaduweconomie ontstaat hierdoor? Wat is echt en wat is nep? Hoe voer je de strijd tegen het algoritme?
De film ging in 2018 in premiere op @npo_3 en is online te bekijken op YouTube en Instagram. Link in bio. In 2019 werd de internationale versie gelanceerd. De film is uitgezonden in Japan, Spanje, België en Zweden was genomineerd voor de Japan Price en de Prix Europa. De film won de Student Jury Award op het One World Filmfestival Praag.
