First and foremost I thank God the Author and Finisher of my faith, the ONE and ONLY TRUE, LIVING GOD because this capstone wouldn’t exist without HIM. I thank everyone who came out to support me and shout out to my family for driving 4 hours to see God work through me. I couldn’t have imaged that I would have a full house for my first production ever. I first received revelation for “Am I Allowed To Say That?” 2 years ago and spent about 2 years working on the script. I want to give a special thanks to my director @_justusharris and stage manager @official_fieldzy for 3 months of driving hours to and from rehearsal even while dealing with their own lives. Y’all were a great support system and I thank God for showing me favor with your presence in my life.

It is clear to me that this capstone is bigger than me and I’m thankful that my prayers were answered, that not only was I changed through this process but God used me to reach other people’s lives. Now I can truly say that I am allowed to say that.

Moments like this remind us how important storytelling truly is. At the Entrepreneurship Innovation Center, we are committed to teaching our students not just how to build businesses, but how to use their voices through writing, publishing, and authorship. We want our students to see that their stories matter, and that they, too, can write and publish books that inspire change.
This is part of the work we do, creating space for creativity, ownership, and legacy through writing. We can’t wait to dive into Worst Than a Lie by Ben Crump and continue these important conversations. 📚
