Celui là il est sorti comme ça, d'un coup, sans prévenir. ⛲ Un jour on arrive au studio avec le poto IFi pour mixer quelques tunes à lui. Pour se chauffer comme souvent il prends la gratte et commence à jouer quelques licks bien sentis. Doc Charty sent la vibe, il trouve vite la bassline, puis Jolly commence a jouer le beat de batterie mais sur le coup il le prends avec la grille a l'envers car il n'a pas entendu le début. On sent qu'il y a un truc qui se passe. Jolly reprends la grille dans le sens initial et la bam d'un coup le beat devient super massif. On enregistre les 3 instruments ensemble direct 🥁🎸. Dans la foulée on fait les pianos et les percussions 🎹. Le riddim est plié en moins de 2h. Comme on a la vibe on en fait un autre vite fait pour le plaisir et on va mixer d'autres tunes.
Mais le soir jolly ne dors pas, il pense au beat, il se relève et écrit les lyrics dans la nuit ✒️. Night & Day, good friends come to play... Le lendemain matin la vibe est encore là, toute fraîche, on se retrouve, les deux chanteurs se mettent en phase et enregistrent les 2 lignes vocales. Moins de 24h après qu'I Fi ai posé la première note le morceau est enregistré en intégralité. ⏺️

So we were irie in the studio together at night time, I Fi and Junior Roy chillin, Ikadub and Dub Shepherds noodling some overdubs 🍜 on the riddims we recorded during the daytime. After few minutes the two singers start holding a vibe together and gave birth to this song, wrote the lyrics on the next session and this is just what it took to record "Suddenly"...
