Although this campaign was filled with highs for the majority of the season, coming up short in the final series still stings.
It’s a bittersweet feeling we’re still coming to terms with — knowing that although we gave it our all, win or lose, regardless of the outcome, in the end we would not have been able to fulfill our ultimate goal of promotion to the Pro B.
This was our first dance as Berlin Dreams together with a strong foundation @dbvcharlottenburg & @berlindreams_rsc — and what a debut it was. New athletic partnerships, key additions to our coaching staff — we’ve been building something real this season. The growth on and off the court has been undeniable.
But sustainable growth means being honest with yourself. The financial and organizational requirements to make that next step weren’t fully in place — and we made the responsible call. Not because we lack ambition. But because we’re not here to rush something that isn’t built to last.
To our fans — you made this season something special. But the playoffs? That was on another level. The energy you brought, the noise, the belief — we felt every single second of it. Thank you. 🙏
To every sponsor, supporter and partner who believed in us this season — we see you, and we don’t take it for granted. None of this happens without you.
