Constantly navigating between different musical influences, they have performed across Europe, including at SubDub (UK), GetDarker (UK), Manuel Dub (IT), and Outlook Festival (Croatia), while their music has been championed by artists such as Iration Steppas, O.B.F, Mala, Radikal Guru, and Mungo’s Hi Fi. While mostly known for their dubstep productions, with more than 30 vinyl releases to date, their deepest roots have always been in dub and sound system culture. Much of this side of their work still remains unreleased. For their DubStone debut, they will present an exclusive preview of their upcoming album Dub Therapy, due in 2026 on Dub-Stuy Records. We’re honoured to have for the first time ever at DubStone... Italian dub pioneer 𝗠𝘂𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗮! MuXiMa is a selectress, sound woman, producer, and dub promoter. Active since the 1990s as co-founder of King David Warriors, one of Italy’s foundation sound systems, she has continuously moved through reggae, dub, and global bass cultures with a distinctive and adventurous approach. Over the years, she has performed in a wide range of contexts, from Italian social centers and European clubs to international festivals. Alongside her DJ activity, she has long been involved in promoting events and artists, carrying sound system culture across different spaces and platforms, including radios, universities, and art spaces. After last year’s last-minute cancellation, we’re doubly excited to finally welcome 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 from Sicily! Wise Sound spreads conscious reggae and dub music through a deep selection of vinyl and original productions created at their Wise Studio in Rome. The project officially launched in 2009, following an intense musical journey that began with the reggae-dub band Zabbara in Sicily and continued with the Wise Sound Floaters project in Milan. Over the years, they have released a string of well-received 7” singles on their Wise Sound imprint, alongside artists such as Ranking Delgado and Dani Locks. Their music blends dub reggae, electronic atmospheres, and soulful arrangements into a distinctive trademark sound. 𝗙𝗲 𝗭𝗶𝗼𝗻 was born in Naples in 2010 as an independent radio project rooted in the city’s social activism and countercultural networks. Four years later, stepping out of the control room, they began selecting across social centers and occupied spaces. In 2019, the Fe Zion sound system was built, to fully embody their vision of sound system culture: one that promotes equality, inclusion, and respect, while openly standing against all forms of discrimination and oppression. His sound is a melting pot of blues, reggae, dub and stepper, which mixes past, present and future influences. Established in 2004, Bababoom Hi Fi is a sound system and record label based in Naples, Southern Italy. Deeply rooted in the local underground scene, they have been extensively playing their custom-built rig at festivals, clubs, community centers, squats, streets, and beaches across Italy, as well as performing throughout Europe and beyond, including major festivals such as IDG, Dub Camp, No Logo, and HIM. As a record label, they have developed a distinctive, sound system-oriented blend of digital and live sounds. We are glad to introduce at DubStone the young DJ sensation 𝗜𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻! Irie Youthaman, aka Rootikal Chamber (born 1996), is an Argentine MC, deejay, singer, and producer. Raised in Italy, he began his journey in reggae music in 2014, performing with local bands before moving into soundsystem culture. From 2020 to 2024, he spent time in Oceania, performing across New Zealand and Australia alongside various sound systems and producers. Back in Italy, he quickly made a name for himself with his positive mic presence, collaborating with both Italian and international sound systems such as Sattamassagana, Mistical, HealHertz, Riddim Rebels, Green Wood, Wavedub, Skank 45, Roar, and more. His voice moves across languages—Wolof, French, and English—acting as a bridge between worlds and generations. His music carries forward the roots tradition of the golden era, blending soulful vocals with militant lyrics. With a unique voice and a style deeply rooted in reggae, Galas began his musical journey through countless sound system sessions in underground clubs and community spaces. Today, he is emerging as one of the rising names in the international dub scene, performing at major festivals such as Rototom Sunsplash, Reggae Geel, and Dub Camp.
