Most of the time it is not your ink. It is your powder cure.
Here is the same design printed twice on a Prestige R2 Pro. Same film, same press. The only variable was how long the powder cured. One was pulled early. The other hit full cure. Both looked fine out of the shaker. Then we ran a wash test.
Three rules that keep you out of this spot:
1. Hit your full cure time and temperature every run. Orange peel texture alone does not prove a transfer is cured.
2. Audit your white ink coverage. Too little white shows up as cracking too.
3. Run an in-house wash test before you sell. Hot water, heavy cycle, detergent. If it clears that bar, your customer will never see it fail.
Tell your customers: wash cold, inside out. That is the easy part. Catching a bad batch before it ships is the important part.
