Uncle Mike. Later today we celebrate his life. He was simply⦠the best. They say a picture is worth a thousand words⦠whew. This one here. Mike had a way of always getting me my favorite Christmas gift. I studied this globe for years. Staring, spinning, tracing, trying to make sense of it. (boy, arenāt we all). A few years later he got me Queenās āA Night At The Operaā as Bohemian Rhapsody was my obsession. And as I grew older, 6 years later āAll Mod Consā by The Jam. I never asked for it but he knew I was a fan. Again, he was the best. I have a crystal clear memory of being in the back seat of his white 75 Trans Am with the windows down and him blasting Cat Stevens on 8-Track singing along⦠Fast forward through the decades of fishing trips, football and baseball games and family gatherings. Over the past few years Mike and I, along with my pop would meet every Friday night at a corner bar on the north side to shoot pool. Load the jukebox with favorite oldies, order a round and rack em up. It was often times the best part of the week. Many treasured memories. A treasured human being. Thank you Mike.
