Captivating architectural finesse defines Luna House, where bold curvilinear forms and precise rectangular lines intertwine in a dance of light and space. Calacatta gold marble adorns the kitchen while travertine tiles grace the floors, luxurious marble envelops the bathrooms, and rich timber accents add warmth throughout, including on the stunning staircase.
Inside, circular forms punctuate the strict geometry, creating moments of focus and tension. Generous circulation spaces direct movement around the glazed colonnade, framing the formal dining room while maintaining openness. Oculus skylights continue the portal motif, filtering light through all floors, ensuring an ever-present connection to the outside world.

At the centre of Luna House, is a round multipurpose room created by a half circle glazed atrium containing a Japanese-inspired garden.
This sits outside the glazing line and is connected to the house with one door. There are many curved elements in this house which creates a strong but engaging juxtaposition between the organic, and the linear spaces.

Luna House🌚 is a bold house that gently beckons to you from the street from a singular glazed portal, punctuating the strong mass of the curvilinear form. When crossing the arbour threshold your gaze and movement is directed by the double height brick street façade up floating concrete lily pads to the front entry, in a subtle reference to the glazed portal above.
Taking advantage of the length of the site, Luna House pulls the oculus front portal internally by using circular forms as a programmatic device to punctuate the otherwise strict rectangular form, creating moments of focus and tension. The generous circulation spaces further reinforce this curved language subliminally where movement is subtly directed around the glazed colonnade, framing the formal dining room. This affords privacy to the informal dining and living spaces whilst erasing the need to close off these spaces entirely from the rest of the house. The front portal is continued internally on the horizonal plane in the form of oculus skylights over the formal dining room and spiral stair. This allows for light to both frame spaces and filter down through all floors to the basement level, ensuring there is always an outside connection to internal spaces.

Luna House is a symphony of dynamic and playful geometries that create engaging interior/exterior spaces. The interlocking elements allows for light to penetrate the spaces as well as connections to the gardens that surround the house.
