What a fun production to be a part of! Creatively set in a gritty 1980s New York City at a late night variety show (The Hotbox Club), this was all about being on a sound stage and being as colorful and flashy as possible! Haven't been able to play with a mostly conventional lighting design for a long time, but this was totally worth it!

Had an amazing time and incredible collaboration with my good friend Ianthe Demos and the talented and supportive cast and crew at LIU Post. Designing this production was really special for me and I'm so thrilled with how it turned out for everyone!
Another thanks and shout out to @martinprofessional for supporting the production with some much needed moving light equipment to help keep the storytelling as dynamic and active as possible.

Had the most wonderful night seeing a screening of YOU CAN COUNT ON ME, expertly written and directed by Kenneth Lonergan, at a very special cultural arts center on the Upper West Side. @centeratwestpark has just launched a film center to share and screen new and old films and bring their cast and creatives together. In addition, they offer youth programs, rehearsal and performance spaces, and arts programming to bring local culture to the neighborhood. I've had the pleasure of giving a lot of time to help develop their technical production over the years, and being back to see what has become of it was very special to me.
Tonight was made possible by the incredible team at the Center, as well as the cast of the film who came in support of the Center and to host a TalkBack. @itsmelauralinney@markruffalo@theroryculkin all showed immense support for this place and what it represents and I'm grateful that it won't be bought and destroyed in the name of some selfish interest by God's 'favorite' children (the church). Instead, thanks to the support of celebrities and neighbors alike, donations and fundraising have given the Center hope for the future of local arts culture.
Please look them up and come by to see some excellent programming (and maybe a familiar face or two!). Great evening had by all!!!
First round of photos for this amazingly special production. Had a blast piecing this one together in a matter of days with some really amazing collaborators and new friends, and a dear old friend @emcee_manimon doing scenic and sound design. The last time we worked together was 10 years ago!
We have definitely leveled up, and I think we've done the Massachusetts Theater Guild proud. #wafootballrules

This was a real joy to work on.
Being able to design THE MOORS at Adelphi was a very fulfilling experience. I absolutely love the opportunity to work with creative and eager students, witnessing a shared passion for this art form that we all do.
Teaching all of them as well, and having the opportunity to talk about the work as an educational tool makes it all the more satisfying.
Swipe to see some process renderings and what they turned into on stage. The beauty of doing theater is seeing how an idea transforms, and being able to share that with a bunch of student artists as a step in the creative process.
I'm grateful to the team at Adelphi, the students, faculty, and production staff. I look forward to another one!

Had the incomparable pleasure of seeing one of my favorite musicals performed live on stage in front of my face tonight. This show has meant a lot to me for a lot of years, and I am thrilled I got to share the experience with another passionate friend @kelseabelle1 who feels equally moved by the power of the music and the writing of this show.
Children of Eden, in concert, presented at David Geffen Hall!
Congrats to @cwong619 for some kick ass lights, @bradgraylighting for keeping everyone in those lights and more, @nataliarco for skillfully telling the spots to fade up on Norm Lewis et al, over and over and over again - and @turtelfudge for holding it all together!
I hope this show continues to have life!
So happy to have designed MATILDA for Friends Academy. It is an absolute joy to work with student artists and creatives at an institution that supports the arts as much as FA does. I am happy that I can share my work and process with students who are interested in tech and design, it's one of the most fulfilling parts of working with school programs.
Support the arts in primary education!!!

After 17+ years of friendship, I can't visit @jwsell and @ally.sell without offering to help light the model trains. Great evening of holiday cheer (and manual labor!) to bring these to life!
Spent an incredible 10 days in Northern Greece rediscovering what it means to get to the root of theatre making and collaboration with @oyltheaterco and some incredible artists. I cannot wait to return and make more discoveries in the future. Also, to experience this part of Greece is unimaginable until you are there. A true paradise!
