This is how I want to always pray. Praying with fervent passion, knowing that God is good; that He is in full control; knowing that every good and perfect thing in this life comes from Him. Jesus demonstrates prayer with these two words, and THAT is why God heard Jesus’ prayers. Let’s try to do the same 😎🙏🏻

“Don’t show your emotions.” How often have you been told to stuff down your feelings and hide how you really feel? As I’m reading in my Bible today, I’m reminded of how Jesus felt the same kind of emotions that we all feel. He was fully human after all (And fully God)! He felt joy of course, but He also felt sadness and even anger. But what’s so rad about Jesus, is how He showed us that it’s okay to feel those things. He showed us there isn’t only a negative outcome to allowing yourself to FEEL. He felt anger but He didn’t sin in His anger. He felt sadness but He didn’t sin in His sadness. He demonstrated that emotions can have a purpose and they can also lead us to the proper place of healing, when we choose to take them to the Source of life: God. So today, if you find yourself angry, sad, lonely, etc: I encourage you, don’t give in to finding a relief in a bottle or a body; don’t give in to gossip or verbal disputes; but instead, take your pain and requests to God and know He is the only One who can make you whole again and show you how to healthily navigate purpose in the pain. #hope #jesus #simpleobedience

Yesterday’s crew on the Sarasota skate trip ✌🏻 I’m super blessed to get to do what I do with @ridenature And all these guys (as well as tons more homies from the local parks) make me stoked every day to not only skate and learn new tricks..but they make me stoked to live in Florida and be a part of their lives.
