Lifetime - Hello Bastards The Distillers - Coral Fang On Lifetime: @lifetimenjhc The first time I heard this record, I was completely floored. This is exactly the kind of band that I wanted to listen to and wanted to start. It's a mix of very fast hardcore and pop punk but it's still very emotional and raw. From here, it led me to Kid Dynamite, Paint It Black, and everything on the Jade Tree catalog. On The Distillers: @thedistillers The Distillers were the first angry feminine energy that I had been desperately seeking while I was still in the closet.i loved that their music wasn’t goofy like Green Day or Blink, and I just connected to songs such as The Hunger, Hall of Mirrors. I remember spending hours staying up and searching tab websites so I could learn how to play like her and their bass player. I honestly think this band had more of an impact on my playing than any other that I grew up with.
