Revolution Of The Mind: Live At The Apollo Vol. III is probably my favorite #jamesbrown record of all time. The J.Bs were on fire in 68’. John Morgan is on drums on this track, it’s the only one on the album that he plays on. I think he’s kind of an underrated player from the J.Bs. I’m trying to copy his bass drum dynamics here as well as the sound of the record. I love how he mixes feathering and dropping bombs on this one.
