for a while i was doing lots of street photography in amsterdam. two cameras & a pocket of treats, because you never know who you will meet out there 🐈⬛
this kitty, while looking ferocious, is actually just an enthusiastic treats enjoyer, very sweet & friendly, a true explorer. as you know, they go a little berserk for the snacks sometimes. the album cover is the moment of feeding. it seemed to capture the independent spirit of the tune “on a mission” perfectly. 📺 texture & voila.
you can see the treat in the album cover 😹 the perfect moment 😸 this cutie is one of amsterdam’s working cats, living in a nearby store, well cared-for, guarding against 🐭. wishing you an excellent mission this weekend, and beyond.

this year i finished an album which has taken me 20 years 🥳 like many quests of importance, you don’t necessarily understand why at first, and rarely how, only that you must. feeling good now.

recently learned that my grandfather helped invent the 12ax7 vacuum tube 🙀 & after so much digital… it’s good to use the real thing. bit of him in there.
he would definitely not dig this music 😂 but would thoroughly enjoy checking it out. he’d also be tickled that a long-obsolete invention is still enjoyed by many.
and i would have to explain that the thing we love is the thing engineers often try to minimize: nature’s beautiful nonlinearity. to direct the flow of entropy somewhat but still let it shine - that’s what we seek. you can hear this all at once in that perfect chord. when it hits, you know.
the @lichtlaermaudio ragnarøk is a good host. its stock soviet tubes are blackmetal-gnarly, but i prefer jj for the dooms i am going for, as they are a little more smooth. gonna try some others though, will report. a happy chaos to you and yours ✌️🐈⬛

almost there now. one day will plant a pollinator garden 🐝 these particular bees were very friendly. if you keep a respectful distance they will allow you to hang out. too close & there will be a warning buzz!
took some nice photos which are in the newest album art. glitching them now through the analog gear, for the final texture videos, feels just about right. ✌️🐈⬛
