WE HAVE BIG NEWS!!! We’re so excited to be a Good Food Awards finalist for our Rwanda Sholi coffee! Out of a pool of over 1750 entries, we are one of the top 24 highest scorers! The scores were given during rounds of blind tastings. Congrats to our amazing Roasting Team on this huge accomplishment ❤️.
Sholi is a staff favorite. This fruity coffee has an amazing story and we are proud to offer it!

Abateraninkunga ba Sholi (“Sholi”) Cooperative, meaning “Mutual Assistance,” is located in Muhanga district, Southern Province, in the center of Rwanda. Established in 2008, Sholi has been producing coffee for nearly a decade, and the Cooperative’s name speaks to its members working together to improve both their coffee and the greater community. Sholi was borne out of a women’s association called “Kundwa”, which means “love” in Kinyarwanda. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today, over one third of Sholi’s members are women, including two of the five board members. In addition to coffee trees at the farm level (which average ~410 per female member), the women’s association has two communal plots for harvesting and producing coffee.

We roast small batch, organic coffee because it actually matters. Smaller batches = more control over temperature, airflow, and timing…which means your cup hits those notes it’s supposed to. And organic is more than just a label to us. It means cleaner soil, better farming practices, and no weird chemicals messing with the flavor, or the people growing it.
Fun fact: coffee has over 800 flavor compounds (that’s more than wine), but you only get them when it’s sourced well and roasted right.
