#TBT Back in 2004 I get a call from my good friend Misty from Columbus, OH. Misty is one of those rare superstars that did radio and television at the same time. Actually I think she did some modeling, singing and wrote a book all on the side, allegedly 😉. Anyway she called and asked if I would be interested in being a judge for a talent search. Of course I said yes because she’s my friend. Then she said but it will be live on their local ABC station. So my next question was, what’s the catch? She asked what size jersey do I wear and threw me a Buckeyes jersey 😂. Needless to say after I put on the jersey I agreed and it was on! The show was called “Gimme The Mike!” Columbus and I was on for 2 seasons, just before moving to Miami. Actually Miami was starting their show and the Columbus producer Christine tried to get me on there but they had just picked their judges. The 1st season for Columbus won a local Emmy Award, yayyy! And I was a Michigan legend in Ohio (Columbus) for a few years (even without the jersey 🤣).
My Wednesdays, hanging out, running around and singing gospel songs in the 6 with this one are always amazing and interesting at the same damn time 😬 and I love it!
