Celebrating another year around the sun. A huge thank you to all my wonderful friends and family who make my little life so meaningful and so happy. ❤️
What a busy final weekend of the local election campaign!
It’s been wonderful to be out connecting with so many people, inc Ealing, Hammersmith, and of course, right at home in Wandsworth, sharing our vision for a better future. Let’s keep this momentum going right up to Election Day on May 7th. Every single vote for Labour makes a difference in building stronger communities for all.

Racist bile isn’t welcome in Tooting.
The Reform candidate for Tooting Broadway published multiple racist, Islamophobic and antisemitic posts on social media. I’ve written to Nigel Farage and Zia Yusuf demanding answers on why she hasn’t been expelled.
On Thursday 7th May, vote Labour to stop a Reform/Tory coalition of hatred and division in Wandsworth.
Only a few days to go until the local elections and great to be out with our amazing Wandsworth Labour team. Voters very pleased we have the lowest Council Tax in the country.
Vote Labour on 7th May.
Israel must be held to account for its barbaric crimes.
The recent @nrc_norway report on the Israeli military sexual violence against Palestinian women and girls in the West Bank is utterly horrifying. As someone who has worked as a humanitarian doctor in the settlement areas of the West Bank, I know exactly how sexual violence is often used as a weapon of war, with devastating consequences.
We cannot stand by while these atrocities take place in one of the world’s most deprived and dangerous areas for women and girls. Today, I raised this harrowing issue with the Foreign Secretary and urged her to confront these reports with the seriousness they deserve and demand accountability.
It was an honour to visit a local gem of a school, Franciscan Primary yesterday. Meeting such bright and engaged young students was inspiring.
Their letters on water pollution were truly impactful, showing a deep understanding and concern for our environment. It’s inspiring to see young minds so passionate about protecting our planet, and it motivates me even more to champion these issues in Parliament.
I was also so impressed by the student members of the school council and diversity champions who gave me a tour. Their dedication to fostering an inclusive and diverse school community is absolutely heartwarming. It fills me with hope to see a school where, from the youngest students all the way to the Senior Leadership Team, such a brilliant ethos is embodied. They are so active in promoting understanding and celebrating differences, creating a truly joyful and representative place for all children to learn and play.
Great to be out in Balham last night, talking to residents ahead of the local elections.
It’s truly inspiring to see the progressive change Wandsworth Labour has been driving for our community. From building hundreds of new council homes to clamping down on fly-tipping and keeping Council Tax the lowest in the country, these are real changes that make a difference in people’s lives. Let’s keep this momentum going!

So proud to have been re-elected as Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Emergency Care yesterday.
This role truly combines my dedication as an A&E doctor with my parliamentary duties. It’s an honour to use my frontline experience to advocate for our hardworking NHS staff and ensure they have the support and resources they need. Together, we can continue to strengthen our A&Es for everyone, driving up standards for patients and ensuring staff are empowered.

Good news! The Government listened to us and are now prioritising ending “corridor care” in our NHS.
The APPG on Emergency Care, which I chair, has worked tirelessly to raise this issue at the very highest levels. Our report, published in November, exposes the scale of the issue and offers practical solutions to ensure dignity and proper care for every patient. We wrote a letter and I raised it twice in Health Questions. This step forward is a testament to those efforts and an essential move to better care for patients.
Take a look at our report and its recommendations through the link in my bio.

Who loves a good country pub quiz night?
Popped down to the Valleys to see the family and had the best night out at the Three Horseshoes in our village.
Pure jokes had by all. The average age of our team was low and some team members kept popping out to see the llamas but despite that, we were not last!! ❤️
Young people need places to socialise and positive role models.
The investment by @Sadiq to build new youth clubs, including right here in Wandsworth, is a critical step. These late-night clubs will offer vital opportunities, giving young people constructive activities and a sense of community during hours when they are most vulnerable. It’s about empowering them, nurturing their talents, and ensuring they have every chance to thrive.
