RAMMED EARTH WORKSHOP @ DROPSEED NURSERY
We’re excited to be returning to @dropseed.pec this August long weekend for a two-day, hands-on rammed earth workshop.
Join Aerecura co-founder and master builder Graham Cavalier to learn how to design and build using traditional rammed earth techniques. Participants will gain practical, on-site experience while contributing to a permanent structure—the beginnings of Dropseed’s rammed earth greenhouse.
This workshop is eligible for OAA Continuing Education credits.
Spots are limited to just 20 participants to ensure a fully hands-on experience—register early to secure your place.
Link in bio for more information and for registration.
We are open for the season as of Saturday May 16th. Come down and say hello, check out our stock and enjoy the beautiful weather. Season three, let’s go!
Spring time at Dropseed: sowing seed, organizing plug trays, and seeing how much water has collected in our new wetland. Getting excited to welcome you all back for another season.
Cold winter day got you stuck inside? Well make a cup of tea because this is the perfect time to take a look through some of the beautiful perennial flowers that we have on offer in our plug preorder 🌼 Head over to our website to see the whole list and to put your order in before the end of the month. Happy garden dreaming!
Grasses are a great addition to gardens. Not only do they provide structure when combined with flowers, they also provide a lot of important shelter for small insects, and seed heads provide important winter food for birds. Here are some warm and cool grasses we have available for plug preorder. Note - the grass plugs will be available for slightly later pickup due to their growth rate.

Reminiscing on our final workshop of the summer, the second round of Printing with Plants with Shannon Gerard. Attendees learned all about plant pigments, mortors and prep, and screen printed their own linens with gorgeous inks. We’d love to hear what kind of workshops you’re interested in for next year! Leave us a comment and we’ll get to planning 🌱

When the retail side slows down, it doesn’t slow down for us! We have dived right into seeding, and are in the midst of growing a lot of plugs for some exciting restoration projects. We are so grateful to have a second hoop house this year, it’s really allowed us to expand our operations. Make sure you’re signed up to our newsletter to hear about all the projects we are taking part in over the next few months🌱🌾
A reminder that we are now open by appointment only.
