Gallery Desert House this year was one for the books! ⛱️
Watching a space shift from build mode to party mode never gets old.

We’re still thrilled to have contributed to the excitement and energy of anything @coachella related 🧡
This years’ @gallery_houses combined a number of iconic brands including Frye, Hunter, F21, and Bubs Candy, for their annual event filled with amazing product giveaways, live DJs and a truly breathtaking setting.
Soft clouds hanging from giant oversize candy like arches, neon acrylic cacti dotting the surroundings and storefront-style builds opening into magical spaces. Each element set up for a weekend, only to disappear like a dream.
Can’t wait for the next one!

We can definitely say that Palm Springs this time of year is magical. ❤️🔥
Take a peek at some photos from our recent work for the @gallery_houses which integrated a spectrum of branded environments across one shared desert setting—each with its own personality, palette, and purpose.
The desert always brings its own energy, and it was so exciting to see these spaces come to life for last Saturday’s event!

Behind the scenes from our install this past weekend for Gallery Desert House 🌵💖
This Coachella-adjacent event brought together multiple well-known brands for a fun, carefree afternoon in the desert.
Working alongside S. Lab’s larger-than-life designs, each element of this project involved many moving parts and a shared goal: getting every detail in place before the party started.
High impact, offsite events like this come with long days, fast pivots, and a lot of momentum — but they’re also some of the most fun to be part of. That’s why it’s always rewarding to see how people move through and enjoy the environments we help bring to life.

This past weekend we were down in LA, collaborating once again with @s.laboratorio_ for the mind blowing @yescheffoodfest ✨🌴
Our huge impact VIP entrance arch, custom fabric and fringe awning covered walkway, and final phase of the bespoke omakase bar experience, created elevated spaces that matched the caliber of the event’s next-level culinary experience.
The center point of our work was a multi-use, two-in-one merchandise/general store and Don Julio branded custom bar that helped anchor the entire event.
Projects like this are our sweet spot, with a mix of fabrication, finishes, branding integration, and on-site coordination; all happening in real time, collaboratively, and across multiple touch points of the guest experience.
This one definitely hit the mark! ❤️🔥
Install days in LA ☀️
This is what the weekend looked like on our end.

Glitter and Spurs Themed Auction Event for
Blue Oak School at di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art in Napa, CA 🪩🐎
This year’s theme called for bold textures, nods to western nostalgia, and just enough sparkle to keep it playful and light.
For last weekend’s event, we were brought in to design and fabricate the core experiential elements of the night — from the large-scale photo wall installation to the custom band stage backdrop and custom curated decor that spoke directly to the Glitter and Spurs theme.
One of our favorite elements of this build was the reclaimed wood trimmed desert backdrop/band stage. Anchored with a warm white neon sign and speckled with lights glittering in the night “sky,” its custom disco ball accents pushed this element into the surreal desert landscape vibe we were hoping to for.
Laser cut acrylic signs and custom fabricated neon acrylic cacti sculptures added pops of light throughout the space that acted as strong visual representations of our theme.
Finally, soft tan and cream southwestern inspired furniture and seating were layered with bright blues, oranges and pinks that struck a perfect balance between laid back and spontaneous.
Taking our core inspirational touch points from Austin, Marfa, Joshua Tree and Old Vegas, every element we included in this build created a playful, stimulating and slightly off kilter event environment.
Thank you @blueoakschoolnapa for allowing us to be part of such an important night for the school and its supporters. The end result was deep community connection, generosity, and celebration. A subtle reminder that this work not only fabricates things, it also shapes experiences.

For Rakuten’s Art of the Game event at Chase Center, we teamed up with Autumn Communications to bring a custom sneaker display wall into play for a sneaker design competition judged by @stephencurry30 , @mache275 , @lovekattycustoms and @taboo , celebrating culture, creativity, and storytelling.
The structure had to do more than hold shoes. It needed to frame each design with clarity, create rhythm across the display and withstand the energy of bustling event, carrying both product and presence.
This event wasn’t about product placement. It was about people shaping what’s next — creatives, designers, and voices from all corners of sneaker culture.
Seeing the incredible designs, the energy filling the space, and the immense gravity of the legends and creatives gathering around it… we couldn’t be happier with the end result.

An omakase experience is about intention. Nothing is accidental.
The talented team at S. Lab brought us in to fabricate a custom omakase bar for the fourth iteration of Yes Chef Reserve — an ultra-luxury, invite-only dining experience curated by Jack’s Dining Room and the Yes Chef Group.
Our role was to translate vision into something tactile and refined — balancing materiality, proportion, and presence without overpowering the intimacy of the setting.
Omakase is the deep trust between guest and chef. It’s an intimate exchange. A seat at the counter means surrendering control and believing in the hands in front of you. The chef controls the experience. The bar becomes the stage.
Every dimension, finish, and detail of this build was considered with that in mind — creating a space that felt intimate, elevated, and worthy.
We are so grateful to collaborate with teams who care deeply about experience, not just aesthetics. Projects like this remind us why we love what we do. It’s never just about building... it’s about shaping environments where unforgettable moments happen.

At the beginning of 2025, we had the honor of transforming the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art for Napa’s Blue Oak School annual auction event.
Our scope: a glittery, illuminated entrance installation, alongside a fully fabricated photo backdrop experience designed to welcome, gather, and frame the night’s merriment.
We built a layered entry moment that set the tone for the guests as they arrived — structure, lighting, texture, and movement. Inside, the photo backdrop installation provided a modern take with its hand painted fabric treatment and statement making sculptural elements. The space was brought to life by the gorgeous floral arrangements from Violets of the Valley.
The end result was an elegant event space poised to celebrate and highlight the generosity, creativity, and community focus that are at the heart of Blue Oak’s mission.
📌 Keep an eye out for this year’s event highlights. Drop Works is working on some very special elements for this Friday’s “Glitter and Spurs” themed Community in Focus auction event!

Earlier this year, Drop Works had the pleasure of collaborating with production designer, Amanda Beane and the team at 1X to build out this gorgeous cheery veneer demonstration kitchen located inside their corporate offices in Palo Alto.
At the forefront of humanoid robot innovation, 1X Technologies needed a kitchen that provided a durable, yet elegant training ground for their house helper robot, Neo, to practice in.
From the custom cabinets and drawers to the discrete appliance housings and tile topped island, this serene space offers a beautifully utilitarian backdrop for their groundbreaking work. We couldn’t be happier with how this one turned out!

Every piece we built for this project is ripe with rounded edges and curves. Honestly, it’s rare that we get the opportunity to fabricate pieces with so few straight edges. This unique and refreshing design perspective offered us a challenge we gladly accepted. The end result, as seen in the patch bar buffet table (white), stacked tee displays (cornflower blue) and the curved hang bar pieces (yellow) are absolutely show stopping. We are still pinching ourselves that this is the work we get to do day in and day out!
