The Benches of Bruges
I am very excited to finally be able to share this project, a miniature version of the typical public benches that are widespread in the city i live in, Brugge.
These benches are everywhere, and i've always been impressed by their design. Easily recognizable, detailed, but simple enough to be able to immediately see what they are meant to portray. A beautiful detail to break through life's mundanity.
The legs are 3D-printed, using spray paint for the finish.
I used 4mm poplar plywood for the planks.

The past year i have been working on and off on making this robot look pretty.
The prototype was too heavy and was made out of raw wood. I was asked to make it weigh less so it can be transported easily, and to make it look presentable. The robot ended up having a wooden internal skeleton that supports 3mm mdf panels as a body, arms made primarily out of cardboard/mdf and a ticket printer as a head.
Most of the other materials are recycled or waste material.
The electronics and software were provided by students. It uses artificial intelligence to try and guess the age of the person using the robot, by taking a picture of them and using previously recorded data to make an estimate.

Gift for my grandma, i decided to draw some flowers and wanted to add some red as well.

The idea was to make a display board in an art deco style, using multiple lasercut layers of mdf and reflective plexi for the details. It took a while, especially creating the files, but the result is worth it.

Working on some bigger projects lately, so in the meantime, here is a painting i did a few years ago. I never uploaded it because colour is scary to me, but i've always liked this one. This is from before i have been throwing myself into drawing and art in general, so i think i just got lucky

Fully lasercut spongebob fish.
All colour difference has been achieved thanks to the different kinds of wood, no paint has been used (except for the eyes, made from pre-coated white MDF).
