SBC x DESERTFEST This year our Brighton bros @smokinbonesclub will be taking over @thedevcamden stage on Saturday. Firmly rooted in DIY spirit, SBC have established themselves as purveyors of the heavy down in Brighton and we can’t wait to witness what they have in store for us at DF London ’26. In their own words:: "Our home away from home… Having cut our teeth here and worked as a part of the Desertfest crew for many years, we are beyond excited that this year SBC has the privilege to curate our own stage at Desertfest London. This lineup showcases what we do best: mixed lineups and multiple genres that complement each other and bring people of different music scenes together. COFFIN MULCH Spectral Intercession, the band's full-length DIY release in 2023, was fast and vehement, executing a modern and personal nuance to the Swedish death metal sound. In May of 2025, @coffinmulch continued to push ground by releasing a collaborative remix with the legendary Mick Harris. This 90s-inspired death metal outfit from Glasgow, is one of our favourite death metal bands in the U.K. LIQUID SHIT Caustic repulsiveness in the form of @liquidshitsludge . London's sludge-infused death metal outfit released You Suffer For a Long Time on Dry Cough Records in 2025, a violent and vile experience of distortion and noise. IAN Sublime terror erupts from London. @iantheband released their 2025 debut, Come On Everybody Let's Do Nothing on Human Worth Records, which spans the sonic realms of experimental post-rock and the aggressive deliberateness of post-metal. DROMOS Immensely slow and mournful death doom metal from London, @dromosdoom bellows harrowingly slow funeral doom, interlaced with mournful passages and dirge-laden death metal from their self titled release. SMOULDERING TOMB @smoulderingtombdeath emerge with Maledictions Upon the Wretched, planting themselves firmly in the foetid swamps of UK death metal scene. Oppressive, old-school death metal from Brighton. The Dev, Saturday 16th May. Desertfest London ↠ 15th - 17th May 2026 Camden Town, London 🎟 desertfest.co.uk

"As we drag our frigid carcasses through the depths of winter, with seemingly only more gloom and uncertainty to look forward to in 2025, the band's first 2 track salvo offers the ideal soundtrack to our collective despair. Just as comfortable crafting intricate harmonies as they are unleashing plumes of distortion, Dromos’s take on funeral doom is equal parts melodic and massive – drawing from both the compositional restraint of the European masters as well as the valve-melting weight found in the Americas."
