Last night, I had the extraordinary honor of standing before 75,000—in the heart of Washington, D.C— at the Ellipse. It was nothing short of magical! The energy in that crowd was a palpable, an electric current of passion that surged through, reminding me of the tremendous power we hold when we stand together. As a proud native of Mississippi and equally proud Atlanta resident and entrepreneur, I felt immense pride to see so many standing in unison.
In this critical time, I have a profound sense of duty and obligation. We are at a defining moment, and it is our responsibility to do our part, to uplift one another and ensure an inclusive path forward.
Let’s keep hope present and let’s make sure we vote.

Our commitment remains steady: to keep elevating, expanding access, and opening new markets for the finest Black brands. Thank you to everyone who showed up, poured in, and continues to uplift what we’re building.

Honored to be planted in the city I love and for @ourvillageunited to be serving entrepreneurs across 30+ states. Last week we celebrated another Get Procured cohort launch. We’ve deployed millions in grants, but what I’m most proud of isn’t the capital we’ve moved. It’s the village we’ve built around it. The strategic partnerships, the social capital, the ecosystem who show up for our entrepreneurs long after the funding clears. In times like these, coalition building isn’t optional, it’s survival. The conditions we’re navigating demand that we be intentional about who we lock arms with, who we build with, and who we refuse to leave behind. That’s the work.
Ribbon cut. Doors open. The dream actualized. Yesterday was massively special.

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Concourse B, center atrium to be exact. Millions of travelers a year. Every continent. Every kind of story walking past our brands and carrying a piece of the Village home with them.
This is about the audacity to take up space and to signify that Black brands belong on the world stage. This signifies that you can build a sustainable business anchored in the tenets of community. This signifies grit and determination to build quietly but show up profoundly. This signifies collaboration and strategic partnership.
To everyone who has supported my mission, this massive assignment I’m on…THANK YOU! My Village Retail team and I are locked in and unwavering in our pursuit to build generational equity, elevate Black brands globally, and set a new standard for what community-rooted business looks like at scale.
