April 9, 2025
4pm-6pm PST / 7pm-9pm EST
Zoom
This month, we've invited our friends Imani Altemus-Williams, Rabbi Koach Baruch Frazier and Arielle Tonkin to join us for a JOC-led ritual, tapping into the liberatory themes of Pesach as we welcome in intersections with all our lineages.
Imani Altemus-Williams is a freelance writer and emerging documentary producer, who is passionate about collecting stories that illustrate the collective experiences of colonized peoples.
Rabbi Dr. Koach Baruch Frazier is a healer, musician and co-founder of Tzedek Lab, a network of practitioners working at the intersection of dismantling racism, antisemitism, and white supremacy.
Arielle Tonkin is an artist and educator. Arielle's artwork, rooted in painting and social practice, centers intra-faith and interfaith healing through exhibitions, performances, and workshops.
This event is a joint fundraiser for Queer Mikveh Project and a community mental health clinic in the occupied West Bank.
All allies welcome regardless of ethnicity, religious affiliation, gender or sexual orientation.
ASL Interpretation will be provided.

Eight nights, eight lights to grieve all of those who have died. May their memory be a blessing and may these lights inspire us to fight against this tyranny.
It's Sukkot, which means it's harvest time! Pulled about 40 sweet potatoes out of the dirt today! Our offering per usual will be to give lots of potatoes to our neighbors. Chag Sameach y'all!
Harvested 33 cucumbers today. We and our neighbors are happy!!!
***in the picture, I'm wearing a sun hat and yellow shirt that says "tomorrow isn't promised, cuss them out today, standing next to our raised bed on our front yard. In front of me is a pile of cucumbers.
Here's to 45 years in earth school. Baruch HaShem that despite wanting to throw in the towel many times, I'm still here. You can thank my beloved wife for this shirt, the flower and these pictures.
I love y'all to life.
It's still hard to believe that through the extreme heat and the wild rain, things are still growing! This pre shabbat and Simchat Torah harvest includes 4 green bell peppers, 5 yellow cherry tomatoes, 2 small red romas and 8 chili peppers. Baruch HaShem.
Shabbat shalom v'Chag Sameach friends!
The summer garden is winding down. Here are some of the veggies that were harvested today. Only a few cucumbers, but the okra, tomatoes and peppers are still growing!
I grew a different variety of sweet potatoes and they didn't fare well at all.
Depression, anxiety, grief and the excessive heat took a toll on me and the garden this year. Hoping the fall is better.
