I was surprised when the captain approached me just before my flight out of Lagos yesterday that I have just joined an elite group of frequent flyers. It’s official I have done ONE MILLION MILES with UNITED AIRLINES @united doing APOSTOLIC MISSION around the world.

So blessed to have some family members around this holiday week. While meditating this morning a few things were stirred up in my heart that I will like to share with you. I believe these truths will help you to have the right perspectives to finish 2022 strongly. 💥Don’t be blinded by life issues and challenging situations. Jesus & His finished work ought to be your focus every time. 1 Corinthians 2:2. 💥You must choose to see the faithfulness of God primarily in order to maintain a heart of GRATITUDE. Psalms 103:1-5. 💥You will never have a life that will be totally free of challenges while on this side of eternity. However, you can always transfer those cares to God rather than let them weigh you down. John 16:33; 1 Peter 5:7. 💥Your awareness of God’s love for you is key to enjoying a life of REST. 1 John 4:18; Romans 8:35-39. 💥There is no life issue that is beyond the Power & Wisdom of Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:24 💥Don’t try to live life without Holy Spirit, the companion that Jesus recommended for you. John 14:16-18. 💥Always factor in the ministry of Angels. They are built to do the supernatural. Psalms 103:20.

One of the greatest lessons my wife and I have learned over the last five years is this: Children are more than extensions of their parents, they have their unique identities. 🌱 Our son started college in Premed 🩺 and graduated in Economics and Computer Science 📈. Our daughter started in Architecture 🏛️ and graduated in Communication Design, along with minors in Human-Computer Interaction and Art History 🎨. Meanwhile, I studied Pharmacy 💊 and my wife studied Computer Engineering, with Masters in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University 🎓. Completely different paths. And that’s okay. Parenting taught us that love must resist the urge to control. It is easy to project our biases, fears, preferences, and definition of success onto our children because familiarity feels safer than discovery. But purpose is not genetic duplication. Children flourish when they are given room to explore, grow, fail, adjust, and discover who God created them to be. ✨ One of the greatest gifts a parent can give is permission: ✔️ To grow ✔️ To discover ✔️ To evolve ✔️ To become The best thing parents can do is trust that God will guide their children.🙏

Stop trying to "run it" on your own. Degrees and books can only take you so far. When life starts doing "exterior decoration" on you and your plans, you’ll realize that human understanding has a limit. What began in the Spirit cannot be maintained in the flesh. Stop relying on your own understanding and tap into the 24/7 supply of the Spirit. #drkaylive #faith #jesus #purpose #trust

Event #2 was the Art Department Awards ceremony, a beautiful event where students were recognized for their outstanding achievements.
