It goes without saying that we are very spoiled weather-wise in coastal California. The mild climate and minimal extremes allows for year-round enjoyment of our cars.
Beginning in late May and into the summer, “May Gray” and “June Gloom” kick in, where coastal fog hovers around until it burns off in the late mornings and returns before sunset.
A short climb up into the Coastal Range leads to epic vistas like this one taken 15 years ago on a post-work drive into the twisties.—Art

More DWA! Camping While Awesome Rally memories captured on film. The Pacific Motel in Cayucos was a vibe, we discovered a Radio Shack in Morro Bay, hangs by the fire are always a good time, and film isn’t dead.
