Thank you to MARS for letting me be a fly on the wall for a few hrs. Despite the fact that I didn’t know if, or what, I’d be filming until 20 min beforehand, sometimes things just work out.
A while back I was invited to drop in on an impromptu bodywork class to film a quick overview of MARS. MARS is a nonprofit focused on educating formerly incarcerated people the art of restoration. A noble endeavor lead by an even more noble individual, James. His closing statements are a powerful reminder to anyone, that your actions today will be the consequences of tomorrow. Good or bad.
Before the class began James decided to play the song I used for the audio. Something about that moment just made sense (and helped guide me as I panicked on whether I needed to shoot horizontal or vertical…). Thanks for the inspiration James, it all worked out.
