Part 2 of 2: Thank you for a successful Season Opener. In 8 years of doing this, it was without a doubt our biggest turn out yet. We appreciate everyone being respectful and each year we try to learn to be better organized. Thank you to our DG team and Valpo PD for directing traffic and overcoming new challenges. Each season car enthusiasts are losing spots, tracks, and being painted as bad due to the action of others. Northwest Indiana is different though. Car culture has actually been growing in a positive way with support from some cities now. We want to make sure that we continue protecting our events and it all starts individually by calling out other’s bad actions. Be on the lookout for our next Cars and Coffee announcement.

Part 1 of 2: We couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who donated and bought a charity tee shirt package during our Cars & Coffee Season Opener. We sold out instantly and we started taking down pre-orders during the event. There will be about 2.5-3 weeks for production and we will call once shirts are ready. All money will be going to Jon’s family: his wife, Ariel Dahlin, his 5-year old son Trenton, and his 2-year old twins, Jaxon and Declan. They came during the event to see his Honda Ruckus on display before heading to Jon’s Celebration of Life.
These are one of the instances that shows the good side of the car community and how we come together to help each other out even if we are strangers. Without a doubt, this was our biggest event yet and everyone showed us respect and were on their best behavior. So biggest of thank yous to all who attended. You all showed Jon’s family a lot of love and support on Sunday.

This Cars & Coffee Season Opener is going to be a bit different. One of my best friends, Jon Dahlin, passed after his two year battle with cancer and he left behind his wife and three young boys. If you’ve been to our events, you’ve probably have seen his Honda Ruckus. This event has become a tribute to him. We will have his Ruckus at the shop for display and will be releasing a tee shirt with two stickers as a package for $50 to raise money along with a donation button for anyone that just wants to donate any amount. All proceeds will go straight to his family. Primal Wear Co. was a clothing brand that we had dreams of launching when we were younger and it carries a lot of meaning.
We sincerely ask that everyone please obey all traffic rules and be respectful. No revving, burn outs, reckless driving, and or soliciting at the intersection of Silhavy and Cascade asking driver’s to rev it. Valpo PD will be working the event and wont stand for anything that will endanger the public. We are also releasing three new shirts which are inspired by Formula 1. We hope you all have fun this Sunday and we will also have Tocayo’s present for food.

Time to kick off the 2026 season. May 3rd, from 9-12PM, we will be hosting our most anticipated event of the year with Dagger Mountain Coffee.
The Drivers’ Gallery shop will be open featuring new merchandise & detailing products. All parking spaces are first come, first serve. All type of vehicles and motorcycles are allowed. Diversity is always encouraged. Event is all ages and pet friendly, so have fun and enjoy some coffee and cars!
