Back in September 2025, @dripcoffee at 6317 N. Andrews Ave. exploded onto Broward’s coffee scene with packed crowds, social media buzz, specialty drinks and lines that regularly stretched through the plaza. But just a few months later, the once-hopping café abruptly shut down — leaving many locals wondering what actually happened.
Now, owner @thetaylorschear says the closure stemmed from an escalating dispute tied to major demolition and redevelopment work at the shopping center, including a future Target project. Schear tells Browardist she was never informed about the plans before signing a seven-year lease or opening the café, and says construction quickly turned the space into what ahe describes as an unsafe and uninhabitable environment filled with dust, noise, shattered glass and utility interruptions. She also says a lawsuit against Kimco Realty and Cypress Creek Limited Partners has been filed this week.
The story behind one of Broward’s fastest-rising coffee shops — and its equally sudden disappearance — is a wild one. Hit the link in bio for the full scoop. ☕🚧
