For years Iāve dreamt about building this custom sawmill after watching @mattcremona design and build his! Since I started my company @driftwoodworks.inc 12 years ago Iād been using an Alaskan mill to mill up all my larger slabs. Itās very hard on the body and extremely loud and time consuming. With this new sawmill Iāll be able to cut up to 76ā wide! Also be able to yield more slabs from each log cause of the kerf of the band blade is much smaller then a chain. Thanks to @mattcremona for taking the time to make the plans and deal with all my questions along the way. Also big thanks to @okanagansawmill for all the tips and help as heās built one for him self! Also huge thanks to Trevor @frontsidefabrictions for helping me out with this build and Jess @kodiak_customs_ for helping with the concrete pad itās gonna go in next week! Also Quinn at can tac for letting me drop my steel order off and Curtis for sourcing parts fr me! Iāll try and film little bits of the build to post as we hit each stage. So excited to mill the first log!
