NEXT SATURDAY! We're so stoked to announce the finale of our Summer Rooftop Party Series at @smokestackdbq We're bringing out one of our favorite DJs and producers @nolephant for a 90-minute headline set on the rooftop! Hailing from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, NOLEPHANT is known for his high-energy sets traversing styles of Bass House, UKG, DnB, and more. On top of playing support slots at some of the Midwest’s top venues, making his Los Angeles and Chicago debut in 2021, and then his first headlining shows in 2022, he has earned support on original tunes and remixes from artists like Jauz, Diplo, Borgore, AC Slater, Dillon Francis, Benzi, and many more. Warming up the rooftop will be Dubuque natives @tflowdbq @earldearnhardt and @immersamusic After midnight, we'll head downstairs for a bass-heavy afterparty with Driftmore OG @hoaxdubz and Minneapolis DnB producer @brandonberg_mpls The first 25 people in the door will be entered into a raffle to win t-shirts & drink tickets. This Saturday! We’re back on the rooftop celebrating the 10th anniversary of @smokestackdbq 🍾🥂 The anniversary bash will be an all day party starting at 2pm and culminating with another FREE Driftmore summer pop-up on the roof! Enjoy dance music selections from veteran Driftmore DJs & new friends. Music on the roof will start at 7PM and run until midnight. A few time slots are still available, so if you or someone you know would like to play, feel free to reach out! Come early to celebrate as Smokestack will be providing grilled brats/hot dogs and chips (feel free to bring other food to share if you’d like), as well as live music and other activities with all 3 floors open all day. SURPRISE! We're hosting a FREE Rooftop Pop-Up at our favorite Dubuque venue @smokestackdbq TONIGHT! There will be a rotating selection of Driftmore DJs and friends on the decks spinning all styles of dance music to get down to under the night sky. The event is 21+ and runs from 9PM to midnight. While the show is free, a suggested donation of $5 is encouraged to support our local sound system culture in paying for performers, lights & sound, and gear costs. THIS SATURDAY! We're back at Smokestack on May 10 for a night of extended sets transversing the genres of Garage, Dubstep, Techno and Electro. @beargod.mn has been a champion of the underground scene in the Midwest for years. He is a DJ, producer, and owner/operator of Minneapolis-based Head Inna Bin Sound System. With releases on Manuka Records, Coal Mine Sound, Old Ghost Records, and Bhump Day, you can expect heavy basslines, shuffling drums and grime-tinged samples tuned perfectly for sub-focused sound systems. His DJ sets are a blend of UKG, Bassline, 140 and rare remixes you won't find anywhere else. [RE]:ACTiVE is DJ alias of Carlos Marin @_intherave After spending years in the Minneapolis Techno scene, namely collectives like Intellephunk and the highly-acclaimed Great Beyond Festival, he's developed an extensive selection of proper Techno and Electro that will keep you immersed and moving on the dancefloor. @immersamusic has been producing and DJing for over 10 years, helping to create and curate Driftmore Music and Arts Festival. From deep house shows in Minneapolis to deep dubstep in the Smokestack basement, he's well-versed in delivering fresh styles and blends that keep audiences on their toes and in the Shazam app on their phones. You can expect a mix of bubbly garage, breaks, and forward-thinking bass music pieces throughout his set. Our resident VJ @conradhellman.art will be back providing projection-mapping and live visual manipulation to take the space to another level as always. Dubuque's favorite underground dance party returns to the Smokestack on its first ever Friday, April 18th! We're thrilled to welcome 3 forward-thinking artists for a night of bass, breaks, dubstep, jungle and everything in between. @samiknoxsounds is a drummer, DJ and producer based in Minneapolis, MN. His productions are high-energy and diverse and his DJ sets offer a wide-range of dance floor weapons, percussive grooves and original music. @dumpling.music is a Minneapolis-based DJ and producer who's style is loud, chaotic and fresh. He aims to create new experiences for his listeners through expressive sound design, driving rhythms and unique track selections. @theboatmansound is an up-and-coming bass music producer and DJ hailing from Fairfield, IA. With a focus on dub and 140, his productions are deep, dark and powerful, guaranteed to hit that low-frequency sweet spot on any soundsytem. This trio will be taking over the stage all night with solo sets and some B2B2B action at the end.
