Wisconsin and the Midwest have been experiencing many severe storms early this season. On 14 April, there was tornadic rotation in the clouds very near and on track towards my house. I am grateful that it dissipated. 🙏🏻🌪️

I am grateful for two flyovers tonight. The first was a Bald eagle that flew close to me. The second was a long pass of the ISS. I have been watching flyovers starting with the Space Shuttle in the early 1990's.
I love human spaceflight! I grew up watching the original Star Trek series and Star Wars' first run in the 1970's. As well as the Doctor Who series, many other Sci-fi movies such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Silent Running & Contact. The lyrics of my song "Escape Velocity" were inspired by all this and the aurora borealis.

I spent Valentines Day in nature and realized just how much I missed who I used to be. When I joined Instagram 3 years ago, I was happy, smiling and sharing who I was authentically.
By 2024, I put myself out there, speaking and singing. I wasn’t expecting negativity.
Being on short-form social media isn’t healthy. It literally changes your brain chemistry and not for the better. I believe in myself and I accept myself for who I am, but the main message from a lot of people is “You’re not good enough for me.”
It’s really sad to experience, but I learned a lot and I understand that narcissism is here to stay. I am very grateful for the few consistently kind people I consider my Instagram friends.
As an older GenXer, it has been a tough 3 years navigating people who seem to be a new AI hybrid of human species, but despite that, I will always remain true to myself and connect authentically.
Just like in the pre-social media days.

The aurora glowed!, but on the second night, it snowed. This enabled me to focus on finishing a song. Then, to my surprise, my Threads video repost and comment reached 437,000 people globally in 36 hours during the big solar storm. I love the shared excitement of aurora viewing and northern lights photography. ☺️❤️🤝🏻
