Improv Island is a brand-new podcast created and hosted by Tom and Devin of Hip.Bang!, where they dare world-class improvisers to thrill you for a specific length of time, all by themselves, inspired by a single suggestion. The entire first season of Improv Island drops January 14th (do us a favour and add it to your listening app now, ok?).
Part comedic romp, part improv endurance test, Improv Island is designed to show you the inside of your favourite improviser’s brain. Every episode features a single take–no edits!–from a great comedian who has no plan and (almost) no audience.
Featuring performers you’ll recognize from Disney+, Just For Laughs, Comedy Central, CBC Comedy, and much more, this podcast is perfect for improv hounds or comedy newbies alike. As the episode numbers get higher, so does the length of time each improviser is asked to entertain you for, all by themselves. Season one kicks off with a hot minute from Allie Entwistle and concludes with a 15-minute solo opus from Ryan Beil (The Sunday Service).
Improv Island is created by Hip.Bang!, who make comedy and all sorts of other unhinged projects, including their 42-track concept album (!!) Hi-Fi Comedy Kit that you can dig into wherever you stream music.

Our 42-track, high concept sketch album Hi-Fi Comedy Kit comes out August 29!
We humbly think it’s unlike anything ever recorded. On the first half, you the listener are treated to high-end sketch comedy, developed over years of Hip.Bang! live shows.
On the second half, you are invited to get fully involved in high-concept, interactive sketches that challenge the boundaries of what’s possible in audio comedy:
- toss on a supportive listener and talk out whatever is on your mind.
- take part in an actual, structured spin class with special guest coaches.
- do some people watching and find out what strangers are really thinking.
- get some sleep with the assistance of over 15 continuous minutes of dad noise.
- try an unhinged murder mystery with friends!
The Hi-Fi Comedy Kit Release Show is August 29 at 8pm and it’s going to rip: a wild night of comedy featuring live performances of album tracks, special guests and some must-see demos that will give you a delicious taste of the conceptual side of Hi-Fi Comedy Kit.

MORE ABOUT HI-FI COMEDY KIT
A project that has been over four years in the making, Hi-Fi Comedy Kit is designed to celebrate and explode what you thought was possible in audio comedy. It was created by Hip.Bang! and Kelly&Kelly (led by the brilliant producer Chris Kelly) with generous support from the Canada Council for the Arts and writing and cast contributions from across the Canadian comedy community (much more about the amazing team behind this project coming soon).
