The House Fund, a venture capital fund for UC Berkeley startups, has closed its third fund at $115 million. Ken Goldberg, a UC Berkeley professor, is joining as a part-time partner. Fund III primarily supports Berkeley-affiliated AI startups, targeting pre-seed and seed stages, with exceptions for Series A rounds with successful founders. The fund, launched in 2016, boasts $330 million under management and strong connections to the Berkeley community. It offers startups access to tech, mentorship, and introductions to potential customers. The House Fund also runs an accelerator program offering significant investments and mentorship from industry giants like Google's Gradient Ventures.
