Tiger sharks are listed as “Near Threatened” due to targeted fishing for fins and meat, high bycatch mortality, and habitat loss from coastal development and pollution. Their slow reproductive rate makes recovery even harder.

Whitney and I took a road trip to Convict Lake to join @cleanupthelake for some clean up dives. This lake looks beautiful and pristine on the surface but down below it was littered with trash. We pulled out almost 3k pounds of litter. Good times with an awesome crew.
