THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE.
Over the last day I’ve had the distinct honor of spending time in Minneapolis with the people of Minnesota. I felt compelled to come here. To do something…Anything. To stand by and come along side my fellow Americans in a time of profound sorrow and tragedy.
The people here are strong and resilient. It is evident in the streets. But they are also very sad and very angry. We should all be angry. What has happened here is unfathomable and it should have never happened in OUR America.
NOW is the time to stand up and use your voice. It may be uncomfortable, but our freedom is at stake here and I would encourage all of my friends and fellow Americans to step out, speak up and be heard.
Minnesotans embody Love Thy Neighbor and I urge you to consider today what that means to you.
