This award honors exceptional service as a Global Education Ambassador, recognizing a student who exemplifies leadership, dedication and a deep commitment to global learning. Through Marissa’s efforts this past year, she has meaningfully shared the impact of TREC experiences, helped others understand the value of cultural engagement, and supported the mission of the Center for Global Education. In doing so, she has contributed to Drew’s campus values of global awareness, connection and experiential learning.
In addition to her role as our Office Assistant, she herself has engaged in our programs, participating in the Social Impact and United Nations nycTREC semesters, and our longTREC with IES Abroad in Barcelona, Spain, providing unique insight to help push our mission forward.

The Center for Civic Engagement stands in solidarity with Esperanza at the Day Without Immigrants protest! With a powerful turnout of faculty, students, campus clubs, and local nonprofit organizations, the community came together to uplift immigrant voices and advocate for justice and inclusion.

Today we had the privilege of volunteering at Chatham United Methodist Church Food Pantry. We were able to serve this amazing community by giving out fresh produce, canned goods, toiletries, and sanitary items. We want to thank Reverend Jeff for this opportunity and we look forward to continuing to help our community!
