So excited to highlight this print we are publishing with @drew_leventhal making this series was such a challenge yet so satisfying when they all printed straight in a line. Drew’s print ‘Tumble’ will be available at our booth in the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair at @powerhouse_arts . This print holds the static of a single image but put in motion through multiples, doing what print does so well. We included some process shots toward the end, you can see the placement jig we made up that allowed for precision with each pull, all five plates were printed at one time. We cannot wait to show all of the amazing artists and prints we have been working on these last months.

#Interview: Drew Leventhal’s (@drew_leventhal ) series “Mason & Dixon” explores the Mason-Dixon Line that divides Pennsylvania from Maryland. Interested in the border’s history and mythology, this body of work captures landscapes and encounters that reflect uncertainty while holding space for moments of connection and hope. Drew’s work is currently on display in the Manifest Destiny exhibition at the Griffin Museum of Photography through March 15th, 2026. 🔗 We had the opportunity to chat with Drew about his current projects and exhibition at the museum. Read the full interview at the link in bio.

EXHIBITION ANNOUNCEMENT | Drew Leventhal: 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯 & 𝘋𝘪𝘹𝘰𝘯 | (@drew_leventhal ) The Griffin Museum is pleased to present Drew Leventhal as part of our exhibition, 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘺. In our Main Gallery, Leventhal presents a selection of prints from his award-winnig series 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯 & 𝘋𝘪𝘹𝘰𝘯. In this project or film photographs, Leventhal traveled to the line that divides Pennsylvania from Maryland, originating a thoughtful and immersive exploration of “the metaphorical divisions that define the United States.” He shares: “The Line is more than a boundary between two states. It is a border between past and present, North and South, history and mythology. Along this ineffable frontier, histories and memories blur together until they become a messy constellation of stories, a chronicle of where we have been and where we are going.I saw these myths play out in the landscapes I wandered; along the cuts through the forests and the lengthening shadows across the fields.” 🎤 Join us for an artists talk and reception on January 24 and learn more Easton’s unique lens on American visual culture. 🗓️ On view: January 9 – March 15 🔗 Visit us in Winchester or online at to learn more about 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘺 and our annual exhibition program, 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘯.

ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT | MANIFEST DESTINY And so it begins! 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and our nation’s Semiquincentennial. In this context, and through a critical engagement with our landscape and national history, we are pleased to present 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘯, a year-long exhibition series reflecting on historical and contemporary narratives surrounding the United States. Through the lenses of eight extraordinary national and international artists, we invite you to join us in January for the first exhibition in the series, 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘺, exploring the landscape and traces of our history we leave behind. Featuring the work of American and international artists Scott Conarroe, Craig Easton, Lisa Elmaleh, Rich Frishman, Drew Leventhal, Vicky Sambunaris — with additional exhibitions by Austin Bryant and John Willis — 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘺 invites viewers to reconsider the narratives that have shaped our national identity. We hope you enjoy this year of inquiry and creativity, and that our exhibitions inspire your curiosity about photography, nationhood, land and the stories of the people who inhabit it. — The Griffin Museum Team Featured artists: @mrcraigeaston @elmalayheehoo @richfrishman @drew_leventhal @victoriasambunaris @ausbry

For the holidays, @h_ashtagg made me something I’d never seen before: a pinhole camera made out of glass! It’s a fully functioning camera built out of layers of clear and black glass. We took it out for a test run at @nationalmuseumofireland which was great fun. It’s fragile but it works! Quick specs for the curious: F/280 pinhole lens 40mm equivalent focal length Takes 4x5 film holders Next stop: a tour of the cliffs on the West coast of Ireland. Let’s see if this glass box can brave the wind and the rain! All part of my adventure as a @fulbright_commission_ireland scholar

@drew_leventhal Drew Leventhal (Creative Practices ‘18) has recently been awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study and photograph in Ireland. During Drew’s Fulbright he will be working with the community of Irish Travellers (Mincéirs) on issues of visual representation. In contrast to previous depictions, Drew is interested in more collaborative and community based notions of visuality. The questions he wants to ask are: how do artists within the Traveller community represent themselves? How are those visual depictions providing a counter-history of Mincéir communities? How can I, in the last, make images that are within this dialogue? Through his affiliations with the National College of Art and Design in Dublin and the Traveller community, Drew will engage in conversations that can expand what indigenous visual representation can look like.

We specialize in printing @drew_leventhal prints that are impossible to photograph, but once you start engaging with them you see the most beautiful details. This print is an amazing example of what gravure is capable of, great texture with complex detail and rich blacks that combine for an amazing print. Working with these images was such a pleasure, as impossible as they are to photograph as prints, they also have tough areas to wipe as well! We cannot wait to see this whole series once they’re out of the drier.

The full process of working through a 30x40” plate. @drew_leventhal images came to life on the press. Many more print reveals will be posted over the next few days. But this full process shows the depth and beauty achievable with large photogravures.

I made a little set of three zines for my project “Mason & Dixon.” Three musings on the same themes. Three studies on what it feels like to be here today in the US. I’ve only got a few left so hit me up if you want a copy. A preview for any publishers out there who want to bite on this project
