Fantastic weekend racing down in Wales for the second national of the season. 8th for me in elite which I’m fairly happy about. It’s great to be racing in the dry again. Here’s hoping Fort William will have similar conditions this weekend.

Incredible weekend between the tape, Innerleithen never disappoints. Track, weather and atmosphere was on point all weekend. Finished up 4th just 0.4s off the podium. Bigger legs and more efficient lungs needed next time. Big shout out to crew chief @louiseclarkgibson for everything this weekend♥️

Mega first day on the hill for rd1 of the @scottish.downhill , conditions on track were peaking☀️ It’s a first for me to use the no.1 plate and something I’ve dreamt of since watching my first SDA back in ‘06. Hopefully, I can do it justice as @stu_thomson did all those years ago. How good does the new kit look? 👀 🤳: @mcbainer_

Unfortunate start to the season for me down in wales. A small crash in seeding and a snapped chain in the race put me near enough dead last. Good fun all in all though despite the conditions. All good things must come to an end; I just want to say a massive thankyou to the whole Steam Punk Downhill Army and of course Darren for that past 3 years. It’s been a real honour being on the best team in the UK, helping steer young talent in the right direction as well as having the best backing possible to support my own racing. I’ve had a blast each year between the tape with each and every team mate. The highs were extremely high watching everyone progress and achieve the results they deserved. There’s just so many moments to cherish as a team, 20 photos don’t do them justice. The team has gone from strength to strength with each year surpassing the last and I’m beyond excited for what the whole team can deliver next year. I know it’ll be another crazy successful year with the announced roster. I’ll be watching closely from the sideline cheering you guys on! Thank you so much @r1dhw for the opportunity back in 2022. I’ll miss the good times and of course the pink! 🥇Scottish Overall Champion🏆 It feels so good writing that. I’ve wanted to win this thing since I was young, looking upto my favorite riders in the same position. Last year I lost by 1 position so it felt even better yesterday. Hellava tight race as well with 0.159 separating the top 3. I finished 3rd and subsequently won the overall. The ribs are tender for sure but I couldn’t care less.
