All I can say is thank you bro. You probably didn’t even realize the impact you had on my life once you hopped on my first single back in 2016. As an independent artist, I looked up to the way you navigated the industry. I really felt like I was following in your footsteps directly when Pops and I signed the @9INE.Records distribution deal with @EMPIRE soon after.
I remember playing #GetPaid every morning while getting dressed for school in the basement wit @GuwopWealthy so when @PocketStyle said you and your manager were rockin’ with our record, I couldn’t believe it. A few days later, imagine how I felt when @YoungDolph came out the booth after freestyling his verse on #KnowUKnow saying “On my Son, this a hit! You gotta push this one for real.”
If you ever wonder why I’ve been pushing #KnowUKnow nonstop since 2016, it’s because Dolph believed in that record as soon as we finished it. Put it on his SON that it was worth a push. For someone I watched from afar as a youngin’ to turn around and tell me I got something for real... That shit gave me so much confidence. I can’t ever repay you for that. I wanted you to see me run #KnowUKnow up to platinum status, but you’ll see the wave from up above now. Sending my sincerest condolences to your family and close friends. This week reminded me that grief doesn’t wait for a convenient time. And neither does life. I had a small window to fly to NC to see my grandmother during her last days. ATL airport was chaos. Work has been nonstop.
She passed on Monday before I could get there.
Hindsight is undefeated. Grace is something I’m still learning to give myself. Rest peacefully, GMa Sheila. We love you 🕊️💙

Long story short… a 22-year-old Black woman (@theyloveeemiahh ) drove from South Carolina to ATL for an opportunity. A 30-year-old Black man (@DreMurro ) from North Carolina was there to coach her alongside her brilliant teammates. Yesterday, Jaeda took home the 2026 @MGProject ICR8 Workshop MVP Award! This was also the first all-Black cohort in MGP’s 15+ year history. The pipeline is REAL! #HappyBlackHistoryMonth 💪🏾🚀
