42 today. Half-naked (per usual) because life has stripped me down.
Not every year has been kind. Life has cracked me open more times than I can count, loss, heartbreak, betrayal, disappointment. I’ve sat in the dark. I’ve questioned my worth. I’ve suffered in silence. But I never stayed down.
I keep rising. Not because it’s easy. But because I know this life is it. One chance. One body. One heart. And none of it lasts forever.
And through it all, I’ve done it as a mother. A single mother. Showing up every day, holding it all together, even when no one’s clapping. Loving hard, giving endlessly, breaking cycles while raising light… by myself. And still making it look damn good.
So today, I show up. Scarred, soft, strong as hell and I celebrate this version of me, the one who keeps choosing to feel, to heal, to grow, and to live with her whole damn heart.
Because when this ride ends one day, I’m going out knowing I didn’t just survive, I showed up, lit up, and maybe even looked fire doing it. 42 let’s fucking gooooooo!
I may make it look easy, but honestly it feels like the Olympics every single day.
I always knew my purpose here on earth was to be a mom. Doing it alone wasn’t the plan, but one day I’ll get to look back and say… I did that shit all by myself and I’m so damn lucky ❤️ Happy Mother’s Day.
