In 2013, DreamWeek San Antonio began as a spark, a vision to create a platform where the spirit of the MLK March could extend into a multi-day celebration of ideas, culture, and community. As we stand on the threshold of our 15th Anniversary in 2027, that spark has become a permanent beacon for our city.
We are thrilled to share that the theme for DreamWeek San Antonio 2027 is “Connections.” Save the dates: January 15–31.
This theme is a tribute to you. It represents the 15 years of engagements that turned into partnerships, the panel discussions that turned into understanding, and the strangers who became neighbors through the power of shared experience. Our “community genius” is not a solo endeavor; it is the result of a network built one connection at a time.
As we prepare for this milestone year, we invite you to reflect on the connections you’ve made through DreamWeek San Antonio. How have these bonds changed your perspective? How have they deepened your community impact?
In 2027, we aren’t just celebrating a date on the calendar. We are celebrating the invisible architecture of unity that we have built together over the last 15 years. We look forward to seeing how these connections will continue to propel us forward.

What began as a single week has grown into a month-long celebration of culture, humanity, collaboration, and connection. DreamWeek brings people from all walks of life together with one shared purpose: unity.
Throughout the month, I had the privilege of attending several community events alongside my incredible teenage son, who is homeschooled. The experience gave him an education far beyond the walls of a traditional classroom. He witnessed people leading with compassion, purpose, and service to others.
One of the most meaningful moments for me was watching my son introduce the founder, Shokare Nikori Nakpodia. As a mother, it was one of those full-circle moments I will carry with me forever.
DreamWeek reminded me that there is so much beauty in community and human connection. It taught me that when people feel seen, valued, and safe enough to lead with love, walls begin to fall. Sometimes people struggle to offer kindness because they have never fully received it themselves. But experiences like this remind us that even the smallest acts of connection can change someone’s life.
So grateful to have experienced the heart of this community- huge shout out to my girl @fawn.bevi for taking me under her wing and showing me a good time.

Celebrating 15 years of Connecting in 2027. DreamWeek San Antonio (DWSA) is an annual, multi-day summit dedicated to celebrating humanity by creating environments for civil and civic engagement. Its core purpose is to foster the exchange of ideas for the common good, ultimately revealing the inherent “community genius” within San Antonio.
Phoenix Management International is proud to be part of @dreamweeksa , and even though it has just passed, we are still feeling nostalgic about the meaningful moments, inspiring conversations, and strong sense of unity it brought to the community. It was truly an honor to be surrounded by people and organizations working toward inclusion, connection, and positive change in San Antonio.
